One Good Exaggeration Deserves Another

In the Blog Posting just published I said, “They also resign within 24 hours of any Criticism, Backward Glance or Biting Comment directed toward them.”

Less than an hour after I published the above Exaggeration it has been proven to be a Prophetic Exaggeration because 3 Police Commissioners have resigned from The Fruited Plain's Law Enforcement Cadre.

It is amazing how similar all 3 of the Resignation Statements from the Resigning Police Commissioners were...

It is with a heavy heart that I feel I must resign my position as Police Commissioner of my beloved home town of (Polatkashire, Glenwishville, Nice Town). It has been my lifelong dream to be appointed this city’s Police Commissioner. I never thought this day would come but the possible shameful conduct of one on my officers requires me to resign my office effective immediately. It is my fondest hope that my replacement will handle similar possible happenings better than I might have if such anticipated happening actually were to happen during their tenure as Police Commissioner.”

Yes, My Dear Readers, we are now witnesses to the first 3 Preemptive Resignations in the long history of law enforcement in the Good Ole USofA. 

Now that the precedent has been established, many more are sure to follow.

Maybe we ought to consider kidnapping RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki and making her one of our Police Commissioners. This lady has Staying Power! It is hard to believe that she was under attack since early summer of last year and she has not resigned.

Our Police Commissioners resign immediately if any one of the 32,187 officers working for them does anything Wrong, Incorrect or Give the Appearance of Doing Something Wrong or Incorrect.

They also resign within 24 hours of any Criticism, Backward Glance or Biting Comment directed toward them.

OK, I admit I exaggerated a little bit...Or did I?
