Are You Still Into Thinking About Things?

A recent Blog Posting (6/20/20) introduced you to Our World In Data. While I was gathering information for that Blog Posting I stumbled across information for this Blog Posting.

I warn you there is no funny in this Blog Posting. Nothing to Laugh at Blog Postings may be an Emerging Trend. Don’t be too hard on me. It’s the world around me that is causing this Emerging Trend to Emerge...

I don't consider myself to be a Negative Thinker but I am a Realistic Observer of what I see around me. As a result of this mind set, I think it is safe to say that Space Aliens Flying Past the Earth Probably Lock Their Doors.

While this Blog Posting may not be funny I think it is interesting. If you are still interested in thinking about interesting you might find this interesting and I encourage you to read on.

************

All of Our World In Data’s numbers quoted below are from 2017...

Ø 620,000 people died from Malaria.

Ø 945,000 people died from HIV/AIDS.

Ø 1,600,000 people died from Diarrheal Rated Diseases.

Ø 2,560,000 people died from Pneumonia.

Ø 3,400,000 people suffered Premature Deaths due to Outdoor Air Pollution.

Ø 8,000,000 people died prematurely as a result of smoking.

Ø 9,600,000 people died from the various forms of Cancer.

If 2017 were a typical year for dying (and who is to say it’s not), that’s a lot of dying in a single year. If you multiply this yearly dying times 219 or 220 years, that’s really really a lot of dying.

Here is an Ah Ha Moment for you to Ah Ha at... While all these people have been dying, the Earth’s Population increased from 1 Billion in 1800 to 7.7 Billion today.

This is quite a jump especially when you add in the further considerations below...

Ø Millions of people have died from all the many Wars since 1800.

Ø Millions of people have died because they were Murdered since 1800.

Ø Millions of people have died from Accidents...
è Cars Crashes
è Planes Crashing
è Boats Sinking
è Weekends in Chicago (not ready accidents)
è Banana Peels

These further considerations bring to mind what Yul Brenner said to Anna when he used to be the King of Siam, “Etcetera, Etcetera, Etcetera”

No wonder the people who are always worrying about Over Population have been so busy worrying about Over Population.

Would I kid u?
