Intelligence Committees

I have come around to the point where I think it is an Insult to my Intelligence that our 9% Approval Rated Congress has Committees (1 in the Senate and 1 in the House) called the Intelligence Committee.

I think the Folks Back Home (that’s us) ought to demand that Congress be required by Federal Law to prove to us that these committees are, in fact, Intelligent!

Until such time as they have proven to us that they are Intelligent, they should be required to change their names to something more akin to the truth…

Ø Wild Guess Committee.

Ø Decision by Use A Dart Board Committee.

Ø As Long As We Use Big Words and Look Indignant They Will Continue To Vote For Us Committee.

This whole set up with Congress just does not seem fair. We constantly have to prove things to Congress…

Ø Must reveal to them how much money we make so they can take the maximum amount of our money away from us.

Ø Must testify to them that we do have Health Insurance or they will enact a Tax … or a Penalty … or a Tax/Penalty … or a Penalty/Tax upon us.

Ø We must notify them that we have died so they can stop sending us Social Security Checks, Disability Payments, Food Stamps, Aid To Dependent Children Payments, Housing Choice Voucher Program Payments, Unemployment Compensation Payments, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Payments (TANF) (Formerly known as Welfare), Educational Assistance Payments, Federal Student Aid Payments, Job Training Financial Assistance Payments, Trade Readjustment Allowances (Income Support While Participating In Full-Time Training), Relocation Allowance Payments (If, after being re-trained, you have to move outside our normal commuting area), etc. etc. etc.

------------------------

I’ve asked this question before but this continues to confuse me…

Why is a Federal Crime to Lie to Congress but it is Not a Crime for Congress to Lie to Us?

Would I kid u?

It only goes to show, leadership by bureaucracy produces stagnation and polarization. But the alternative has been tried and generates far worse results.

So we’ll just keep muddling our way to mediocrity and anarchy unless Trump miraculously drains the swamp before the swamp devours him!

The Intelligence Committee, are they tested for intelligence before being allowed to sit on such an important sounding committee?

Good Morning: Right on target but the founding fathers did not put intelligence check on leaders or voters guess they expected voters to do their job before they voted just could not foresee the future of education.

I think I’ll put it in my will that the IRS, Social Security and other agencies cannot be notified for at least one year after I’m dead!
